Namrata Nath is a New Delhi-based singer-songwriter, music producer, and recording artist, known for her evocative blend of indie pop, neo-soul & rnb. A multi-instrumentalist skilled in guitar, keys, and ukulele, her live performances are celebrated for their intimate yet dynamic energy. She began her musical journey at 19 in Kolkata with the release of the singles Morning Glory and Hazy, showcasing her introspective melodies and poetic storytelling. A seasoned performer since 2012 and a Trinity College London-trained vocalist, Namrata blends technical skill with emotional depth in her music.

 

Now a singer-songwriter, composer &  producer, Namrata continues to evolve her sound with a unique mix of production expertise and heartfelt narration, creating deeply resonant compositions. Namrata’s music bridges timeless and contemporary sounds. Her work explores themes of self reflection, personal relationships, environmental awareness and social commentary. 

 

In 2020, her single Drift earned a spot on the BandCamp Editor's List and gained significant attention on global playlists. Later that year, she also released tracks as part of various collaborative projects.

 

Beyond the stage, Namrata’s creative pursuits include poetry, visual art, doodling and collaborations that further expand her artistic expression. She has performed at iconic venues such as BlueFrog (Bangalore), The PianoMan, Bandstand, Depot 29, Soho, The Junction (Delhi), Someplace Else, Golf Club, and Jamsteady (Kolkata), and High Spirits (Pune). Her performances have spanned numerous commercial pubs, clubs to five star outlets spanning across major cities, including Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Jaipur & Kolkata. Namrata has also showcased her work at prominent festivals like Celtronics Festival where she collaborated on music projects with other artists exploring soul, neo-soul, and electronic arrangements adding to her catalogue.

 

Influenced by legends such as Joan Baez, Paul McCartney, Erykah Badu, Aaliyah, Mary J. Blige, Björk, Lily Allen, John Mayer, Fiona Apple & many more.
